Communities and Local Government (CLG)has funded the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) to deliver a support programme which will improve local authorities and their partner's ability to effectively fulfil their Strategic Housing responsibilities. This programme has identified a series of seminars which have been developed by the British Urban Regeneration Association (BURA) and Angus Kennedy and John Downie from the Community Regeneration Partnership.

These seminars have been developed to enable senior officers in local authorities and their partners to gain a better understanding of the strategic housing role. For attendees it is also an opportunity to discuss and gain knowledge about the challenges of housing supply in the context of growth and regeneration. Most importantly to identify housing's role and potential in place shaping.

We are please to announce that Evershed's will be hosting the Birmingham training seminars. For more information about Evershed's please click here.

"The IDeA Strategic Housing programme is really pleased to be sponsoring places on the BURA Housing and Regeneration programme. Following the success of the earlier programmes in 2007, we are delighted that more local authorities will get the chance to take part."

Reniera O'Donnell, Principal Consultant, IDeA Strategic Housing
