Trevor Hart

Trevor Hart started his working life in accountancy working for a New Town Development Corporation, before moving into town planning with a county council.

Having worked for a variety of consultancies on EU matters he then took up lecturing posts at Leeds Metropolitan and Dundee Universities, teaching town planning.

In local government Trevor had a high level of practical involvement with labour market initiatives, ranging from developing local projects to participating in national initiatives.

In academic life, he was involved in a number of research projects, particularly concerned with the work of TECs and with considering future labour market conditions and trends. He is the joint author of the labour market chapter in the BURA Urban Regeneration: A Handbook . Trevor is currently writing a book on market towns in England to be published mid-2007.

Trevor currently teaches on the BURA Regeneration Training Programme on the Training and Labour Markets module.
