Programme Overview

BURA and CIH Brochure ImageNow in its third year, BURA and the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) have worked with the Academy of Sustainable Communities (ASC) to produce this Masterclass which has been endorsed by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and sponsored by the Government's Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA).

All are committed to creating sustainable communities. In order to achieve this it is important to maximise knowledge, understanding and communication at all levels between the many and diverse organisations involved in the planning and delivery of such projects.

The Sustainable Communities and Regeneration Masterclass brings together senior decision makers from all fields and disciplines involved in the regeneration of towns and cities: from the voluntary sector, to private developers, housing associations, and Regional Development Agencies. Dr Angus Kennedy OBE is the Programme Director for the BURA/CIH Masterclasses.
