Clowne Campus

Dating back to 1992, the BURA Awards for Best Practice in Regeneration are a celebration of imagination, innovation, inspiration and determination. Through these independent awards we seek to identify and promote projects that are making a positive contribution to economic regeneration, acting as catalysts for wider regeneration and creating a self-sustaining momentum with long-term benefits for local communities.

The awards embrace diversity, recognising projects across the UK on a variety of scales and celebrating the enormous range of people and organisations involved in regeneration.

We are delighted that the awards are once again sponsored by English Partnerships, Scottish Enterprise, the Welsh Assembly Government, and the Department for Social Development - Northern Ireland. This support reflects the commitment of all four countries to identifying, sharing and learning from UK transnational best practice.

The value of recognition

"The award has lifted the profile of our project and provided more pride of place within the community. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and was proud to be part of this project." The Cross Heritage Regeneration Project - Beith, Ayrshire

"Of all the awards the project has won, this is the one that has been of most interest to government agencies and the regeneration community. The assessment visits were very exciting and thought provoking. What was interesting was getting a sense of national perspective on the project. Both judges were very positive." Court 15 Back to Back Project - Birmingham
