Back a Winner

In the past 15 years, over a 100 projects representing best practice in community inspired regeneration have been recognised through our award schemes. From minimal resources these projects have achieved big things and by recognising their award winning work we hope they will go on to achieve even more.

However BURA’s relationship with our award winners does not end with the presentation of a certificate and, as a part of our support, we have established the BURA ‘Back a Winner’ Programme to provide the award winners with greater opportunities for training and development, together with a facility whereby they can draw on the expertise of BURA’s members in order to address specific issues that they face.

We have already had welcome support on this front - Martineau Johnson has offered to provide legal advice and John Laing has donated £25K to the Back a Winner Fund. If your organisation would also like to help our award winners expand on their achievements and are able to provide support then please get in touch.

Perhaps you can offer consultancy to projects on funding, recruitment, sustainability strategies, setting up a social enterprise, asset transfers or other aspects you think community projects may be concerned about? Whatever it is we'd be pleased to hear about it and match your skills with a project who could use the support.

Alternatively you can make a financial donation that will allow us to meet projects' specific needs.

We are also interested if you are available to provide new or restored equipment to projects - many need I.T. equipment but other needs range from play equipment to cooking appliances. Please contact us if you think you may be able to help.

So come on, do your bit and back a BURA Winner today!
